How to judge whether the bearing of Roots blower is damaged?

Judging whether the bearing of Roots blower is damaged can be carried out from the following aspects:

Listening to sound: During operation, if you hear abnormal noise on the bearing, such as sharp rubbing sound, impact sound or buzzing sound, which is different from the normal operation sound, it may be that the bearing is damaged. Especially when there is no load or light load, if the noise is obvious, more attention should be paid.

Feel the vibration: Feel the vibration by touching the blower housing or bearing seat. If there is obvious vibration, and the vibration frequency is related to the rotation frequency of the bearing, it may be that there is a problem with the bearing. In severe cases, you can see that the whole equipment is slightly shaking.

Check the temperature: use a thermometer to measure the temperature of the bearing. If the bearing temperature is too high, beyond the normal operating temperature range (generally 30-40℃ higher than the ambient temperature), it may be that the bearing is damaged, resulting in increased friction and heat generation.

Observe lubricating oil: check the color, texture and impurities of lubricating oil. If the lubricating oil turns black, thickens, and has metal chips or impurities, it may be that the particles produced by bearing wear are mixed in, indicating that the bearing is damaged. In addition, if the lubricating oil is consumed too fast, it may also be related to bearing failure.

Check the appearance: after stopping, remove the bearing end cover and check the appearance of the bearing. Check whether the roller and raceway are damaged by abrasion, pitting, crack and peeling, and whether the cage is deformed or damaged. If these conditions exist, the bearing is damaged.

Detection of operation parameters: With the help of professional equipment such as vibration detector and spectrum analyzer, the vibration amplitude, frequency and other parameters of the bearing are detected. If the parameters are out of the normal range, we can judge whether the bearing is damaged and the degree of damage according to the diagnostic standard of the equipment.

Check the axial and radial clearance: use special tools, such as feeler gauge and dial gauge, to measure the axial and radial clearance of bearings. If the clearance exceeds the specified range, the bearing is worn and may be damaged.
