How to deal with the failure of magnetic suspension blower?

Common faults and treatment methods of magnetic suspension blower are as follows:

The fan cannot be started.

Check the power supply

Wiring problem: confirm the normal power supply, check whether the power supply line is open or short, and repair or replace the damaged line.

Voltage problem: check whether the power supply voltage is within the rated range. If the voltage is abnormal, adjust the power supply voltage or use a voltage regulator.

Check the control system

Panel information: Check whether there is any fault prompt or alarm information on the control panel, and find out the reasons according to the prompt, such as sensor fault, controller parameter setting error, etc.

Line connection: Check whether the control line is well connected to ensure normal signal transmission. Reconnect or replace the connector for loose or poor contact lines.

Check mechanical parts

Impeller rotation: Manually rotate the fan impeller to see if it is flexible. If the impeller is stuck or difficult to rotate, it may be that there is a foreign body blocking between the impeller and the casing, or the bearing is damaged, so it is necessary to remove the foreign body or replace the bearing.

Inlet and outlet blockage: check whether the air inlet and outlet of the fan are blocked, and clean up the impurities, dust and other blockages in the air inlet and outlet.

Insufficient air volume

Check the filter: The blocked filter will reduce the air intake. Check and clean or replace the filter regularly to ensure the smooth passage of air.

Check the impeller: Wear, deformation or damage of the impeller will affect the air volume, check the impeller condition, and replace the impeller if there is any problem.

Check the piping system: air leakage, blockage or too small bending radius will affect the air volume. Check whether the connection part of the pipeline is well sealed, clean up the blockage in the pipeline, and ensure that the pipeline layout is reasonable and the bending radius meets the requirements.

Fan overheating

Check the cooling system: Magnetic suspension centrifugal fans are usually equipped with air cooling or water cooling devices. Check whether the cooling system works normally, whether the cooling fan rotates and whether the coolant circulates normally, and repair or replace the faulty parts.

Check the motor: motor overload, winding short circuit or bearing wear will lead to motor heating, and then the fan will overheat. Check whether the running current of the motor is normal, whether the insulation resistance of the motor winding meets the requirements, whether the bearing is well lubricated, and repair or replace the faulty motor.

Check the ventilation environment: the poor ventilation environment around the fan will affect the heat dissipation, ensure that the fan is installed in a well-ventilated place, and avoid obstacles around to block the air circulation.

Excessive vibration

Check the foundation: the foundation of the fan is not firm or uneven, which will lead to excessive vibration. Check whether the anchor bolts of the foundation are loose, whether the foundation has cracks or subsidence, and reinforce or repair the foundation again.

Check the impeller balance: Impeller imbalance is a common cause of vibration. Carry out a dynamic balance test on the impeller. If the imbalance exceeds the range, correct it by adding a balance weight or adjusting the installation position of the impeller.

Check the connecting parts: check whether the connecting parts of the fan, pipes, motors, etc. are loose or not firmly connected, and tighten the loose connecting parts to ensure reliable connection.

Frequency converter fault

Check the alarm code: when the inverter fails, the control panel will display the alarm code. According to the code, query the inverter manual or contact the manufacturer to find out the cause of the failure.

Check parameter setting: Check whether the frequency, voltage, current and other parameters of the inverter match the rated parameters of the fan, and reset them if there is an error.

Check the hardware components: use multimeter and other tools to check the parameters such as the capacitance and resistance of the inverter, the resistance and capacitance of the IGBT module and other hardware components, judge whether it is damaged, and replace the damaged components.

Magnetic bearing failure

Check the sensor: the sensor of the magnetic bearing is used to detect the position and state of the rotor, check whether its connection line is normal, whether the sensor is damaged, and replace it if there is any problem.

Check the bearing controller: check whether the power supply of the bearing controller is normal and the parameter settings are correct, and repair or replace the controller in question.

Check the rotor: check whether the rotor surface is worn or scratched, carry out dynamic balance test on the rotor, and repair or replace the faulty rotor.
