What factors do chemical plants need to consider when choosing air suspension blowers?

 2024-06-01

When selecting air suspension blowers in chemical plants, the following factors need to be considered:

- Working conditions: consider the actual working conditions, environmental characteristics, as well as the working pressure, air volume, temperature, medium, noise and other factors of blast aeration operation.

- Use environment: consider site temperature, humidity, air composition, explosion-proof, corrosion, solid particles and other environmental factors. Avoid installation in humid, easy to collect dust and other environments, while ensuring sufficient ventilation space. If the site environment is dusty and smoky, special attention needs to be paid to the maintenance and replacement of the filter cotton and filter element.

Bearings and motor selection: Air suspension blowers are high energy consumption and high load equipment, and need to be equipped with suitable bearings and motors to achieve high efficiency.

- Hardware material selection: The bearing, impeller, rotor, stator and other core components of the air suspension blower should be strong, and the aviation grade materials and corrosion resistant and high temperature resistant materials are preferred.

- Maintenance: Regular maintenance, replace the filter, lubricating oil, etc., to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and extend the service life.

- Outlet pressure: When calculating the oxygen demand of sewage treatment, the mass flow rate of oxygen required under the standard state should be converted into the volume flow rate of air required under the standard state. If used in plateau areas, it is also necessary to consider changes in air density, moisture content, and the impact of changes in ambient atmospheric pressure on the blower outlet pressure.

- Blower air flow: Because the use of the blower may not be the standard state, for example, when used in plateau areas, the air density and moisture content will change, the volume flow of air supplied by the blower will be the same as the standard state, but the mass flow of air supplied will be reduced, which may lead to insufficient oxygen supply. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the volume flow that can supply the same mass flow, that is, the converted flow. At the same time, when used in the plateau area, the ambient atmospheric pressure will also change, the pressure ratio will increase, and the leakage flow of the Roots blower will increase, which will lead to the reduction of the volume flow of air supplied by the blower, and may also cause insufficient oxygen supply. Therefore, the design needs to consider the influence of various factors when the use conditions change, to ensure that the actual air flow supplied by the fan can meet the requirements of use, and need to calculate the converted flow and leakage flow.
