Proper installation and use of Roots blowers for aquaculture



 Roots blower is a volumetric rotary blower, that is, relying on the change of cylinder volume driven by the motor to transport gas to the outside world. It was invented by the British Ziggins in 1849 and improved by the American engineer Roots. Since then, people have called this gas conveying machine Roots blower and continue to this day. Roots blower is divided into L series Roots fan, dense complete series, three-leaf Roots blower and ZL series, aquaculture seedling room generally uses three-leaf roots blower. 

Why sea, fresh water seedling room more use roots blower, because it has the following characteristics: 

1.1 Performance characteristics of Roots blower In order to force air supply, that is, when the boost pressure changes, the flow rate changes very little, the user can adjust the air supply pressure within the rated boost pressure range according to the needs of different varieties of seedlings to meet the needs of aeration oxygen delivery. For example, when breeding shrimp seedlings, the initial gas consumption is small, and the later gas consumption is larger. 

1.2 Roots blower does not need to lubricate the cylinder The gas transported does not contain oil. And seedlings are often most afraid of oil.

1.3 Small vibration, long service life Simple structure, high efficiency, reliable performance, durable, and large air volume. 

 2 Use and selection of Roots blower Roots blower with its large air volume, suitable pressure and output gas does not contain oil characteristics, widely used in seedling room and farm water aeration, in addition to increase the content of dissolved oxygen in water, but also can speed up the oxidation of some harmful substances in water decomposition, has an important role in purifying water quality. For the water body of breeding shrimp seedlings, the gas supply per minute should reach more than 1.5% of the total water body. The selection of wind pressure should be based on the depth of the pool water, the length and thickness of the pipeline, and the local resistance loss of the bubble stone should be considered. When the general water depth is 1m, the wind pressure is 0.35kg/cm^2 fan, and the water depth is 1 ~ 1.5m.

 3 Installation of Roots blower 

 3.1 The unit and the electrical equipment of the unit shall be installed indoors Ventilate the equipment room to keep it dry. There should be no less than 1.5 ~ 2m margin around the unit for management and maintenance. 

 3.2 The installation foundation shall be built on hard soil It is about 200mm higher than the ground, and the bearing surface of the foundation should be about 200mm wider than the base of the machine, and cannot be connected with other buildings or wall foundations. The depth of the foundation should be based on the installed fan specifications and refer to the machine manual and related technical documents. 

 3.3 Remove dirt and dust from the unit surface thoroughly before installation Conditional units can use compressed air to blow the machine clean, Roots blower cylinder must be clean, no oil. 

 3.4 Optional Gas filter or protective net If the environment of the seedling room is not good, gas filters or protective nets should be selected to prevent objects from being inhaled, but attention should be paid to the air flow area to avoid excessive gas flow resistance.

 3.5 Pressure gauge should also be installed on the tuyere pipe of the blower It is used to monitor the gas supply pressure during operation, and install safety valves to prevent overpressure operation. 

 3.6 Installing a Muffler A muffler is installed in the inlet and outlet to reduce noise.

 3.7 Installing Anchor Bolts The installation of anchor bolts shall comply with the requirements of the machine instructions and relevant technical documents.

4 Use of Roots blower

 4.1 Inlet Temperature The inlet temperature of the air transported should not be higher than 40 ° C. 

 4.2 Particulate matter content in the air The content of particles in the air transported should be as little as possible (not more than 100mg/m3), and the maximum size of inhaled particles should not exceed the minimum cylinder clearance. 

 4.3 Operating Pressure Not exceeding the nominal pressure value of the nameplate, which can be measured by the installed pressure gauge.

 4.4 Power Cannot exceed the value specified in the rated current, that is, the power of the distribution motor. 

 4.5 Bearing Temperature Under rated load, the bearing temperature after stable operation shall not be higher than 55 ° C, and the maximum table temperature shall not exceed 95 ° C. 

 4.6 Gear oil temperature of Roots blower Generally not more than 65 ° C, the correct oil level of each refueling should be in the middle of the indicating hole of the gear tank, and can not be added too full, so as not to bring the lubricating oil into the cylinder, causing pool water pollution. 

The lubricating oil should be changed regularly. When the first start work 200h, change the first oil, then change the lubricating oil every 6 months, before injecting new oil, use gasoline or neutral kerosene to clean the fuel tank and gear, and then refuel after the net. 

 4.7 Electrical control part of Roots blower For safe operation, overheat, phase loss and overcurrent protection devices must be installed. 

 4.8 Conditions for Removal General seedling room and farm if there is no certain disassembly conditions and skilled technical personnel, do not disassemble the blower, because the gap assembly requirements of Roots blower are higher, unskilled disassembly and lack of relevant technical documents for reference, often cause damage to the parts, affect the oxygen and gas delivery effect, resulting in high maintenance costs, and affect production. 

a 4.9 Roots blower is prohibited from starting and stopping with load When starting up, the inlet and outlet valve must be opened, and it must not stop suddenly when full load, so as to avoid sudden reversal of the impeller in the cylinder, and damage to the impeller and other components, pay special attention to this problem.
