Application of fan in conveying industry

In the feeding process of the pneumatic conveying system, if the feeding amount fluctuates, the system pressure provided by the pneumatic conveying fan will change accordingly. If the feed is increased, the pressure in the tube needs to be increased. For some fan types, it is more sensitive to pressure changes, and in the process of increasing pressure, the air volume will also change, which will lead to material deposition and blockage in the tube. Once blocked, it will in turn exacerbate the pressure rise in the pneumatic conveying system pipeline, forming a vicious circle.
As a positive displacement blower, the screw blower is also a constant flow fan, whose pressure is within the performance range and can be adjusted according to the resistance of the pipe network, but the flow rate will hardly change. That is to say, even in the case of fluctuations in the feed of the pneumatic conveying system, the screw blower can provide enough air volume and pressure to ensure the normal operation of the system, and it is not easy to cause blockage.
Pneumatic conveying is the use of air pressure and airflow ability to transport powder or granular materials in closed pipelines, is a specific application of fluidization technology.
Pneumatic conveying is divided into:
Dilute phase transportation: the solid content is less than 100kg/m3 or the solid-gas ratio is 0.1 ~ 25, the operating gas speed is higher (about 18 ~ 30m/s), and the transportation distance is basically within 300m.
Dense phase transportation: the solid content is greater than 100kg/m3 or the solid-gas ratio is greater than 25. The operating gas speed is low, and the pressure is high. The conveying distance is more than 500m, suitable for long-distance conveying.
According to the size of the pressure, pneumatic conveying can be divided into:
Low pressure pneumatic conveying device - less than 10kpa,
Medium pressure pneumatic conveying device -- below 50kPa,
High pressure pneumatic conveying device -- more than 50kPa,
When the pneumatic conveying pump manufacturers use air compressors, it can reach 200-300kpa.
Pneumatic conveying is used in many fields: power plants, cement plants, grain/food processing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, etc.
