Several points of attention for periodic inspection and maintenance of screw vacuum pump

Periodic inspection of screw pump content

1. Daily check items

a. Check the oil gauge: too much or too little lubricant will damage the gear and bearings.

b. Check whether the cooling water is sufficient.

c. Check the temperature of the rear cover and front end cover. Use an appropriate thermometer to measure, using a surface thermometer will be more convenient.

d. Check suction and discharge pressure. Measure the pressure to ensure that the pump is operating within specifications.

e. Check the motor load. Note that an increase in motor load often indicates an abnormal state.

2. Monthly inspection items

a. Check the color of the lubricating oil (if the color of the oil becomes darker, please replace the lubricating oil).

b. Check the oil level. If the oil is greatly reduced, check the seal structure inside the pump.

3. Quarterly review projects

a. Check cooling water flow and color. If found abnormal, please clean the cooling water interlayer and water pipe.

b. Check the grease on the rear end cap and increase it if necessary.

4 Semi-annual inspection items

a. Check the pipe connected to the pump.

b. Replace the lubricant for the front end cover

c. Replace the grease on the rear end cover

5. Annual inspection items

a. Check the internal dynamic sealing device of the vacuum pump

b. Check the internal rotor and pump body. Remove the suction tube at the intake end to view the condition of the internal rotor and pump body.

c. Check the gear. Open front end cover to check gear condition.

Attention:

1) During operation, the temperature will rise according to the rise of the compression ratio. If the temperature rise is local and the outer surface is hot, it is an abnormal phenomenon.

Possible causes are: cooling water supply problems or cooling system is not open, rotor friction with the pump body or pump into the foreign body. At this point, the pump must be stopped immediately and the cause checked.

In some cases, the rotor and pump body may corrode after long-term operation, resulting in an increased gap between these components, exhaust gas back to the suction inlet, and the suction capacity is reduced than the original design capacity.

In this case, the extraction volume will decrease significantly, and it is necessary to stop operation, measure errors, and consider taking corrective measures.

2) Through the routine inspection of the temperature, vibration and noise of the pump body and bearings, abnormal phenomena can be found immediately. Therefore, it is highly recommended that the pump be routinely checked daily.

3) The collision between the rotor and the rotor or the contact between the outer ring of the rotor and the pump body can be heard by placing a steauscultation device on the outer surface, so it is also important to pay attention to the sound made by the pump.

4) In the winter in cold areas, after the pump stops, the cooling water is discharged to avoid damage to the pump body and side cover after the water freezes.
